Little Miami Dirty Dozen - Results

Overnight rain left roads wet, but nothing was falling from the sky as we hit the hills in the high 40’s with cloudy skies. Temperatures didn’t climb much during the day, and we ended in the ride in the partly sunny mid 50’s. The wet roads meant we had to take it easy on several downhills (with switchbacks).

David Cox had a great day climbing, taking every hill except Hollingsworth, where he graciously held back to let me get my first point of the day. The same goes for Mike Ballas on the last hill. Thank you!
Although I like the climbs, they’re tough and I seem to be getting slower as the years pass. Maybe it’s because I’m now usually on the podium at the Tour de Donut due to my gourmand tendencies. In any case, next year’s LMDD will likely have two groups. The A Group will continue with the current format, and the B Group will likely just ride it for fun and camaraderie on the climbs. Misery loves company! And of course, we must work off the stuffing of ourselves on Thanksgiving.
By winning the 2022 LMDD, David Cox has been offered the honor of whistle-blower for the 2023 LMDD A-Group.
